Pearl
In this illustration I wanted to contrast Pearl’s perspective versus reality. The big picture is Pearl on stage receiving applause and praise at the end of a performance, but details in the background and foreground reveal the carnage she caused around her. This is to reflect Pearl’s character as murderous acts and her hunger for stardom blend together.
I began with thumbnails and refined drawings, I then moved to color studies before starting my final piece.
